Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Qi Pottery collects when you visit this site or buy from us, why we collect it, who else handles it, and the choices you have. Qi Pottery, based in Singapore, is the data controller.

1. What we collect
When you place an order: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, telephone number where given, the items ordered, and the order amount.
Payment details: handled directly by our commerce provider and its payment partners. We do not receive or store your full card number. We see only what is needed to identify the transaction, such as the card brand and last four digits.
When you contact us: your name, email or WhatsApp number, and the content of your message.
When you subscribe: your email address, and whether you opened or clicked our emails.
Automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring site, collected through our hosting and site-statistics tooling.
2. Why we use it
- To take payment for, prepare and ship your order, and to handle returns and refunds — this is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To send you email updates, where you have asked to receive them.
- To keep accounting and tax records, and to prevent fraud — legal obligation and legitimate interest.
- To understand which pages are read so we can improve the site.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
3. Who else handles your data
We use a small number of service providers, each of which processes data on our behalf:
- SureCart — order, checkout and customer records, and payment routing.
- Payment processors engaged through SureCart — card authorisation and settlement. They act as independent controllers for payment and anti-fraud purposes.
- WordPress.com / Automattic (including Jetpack) — website hosting, security and site statistics.
- MailPoet and our newsletter tooling — sending email you have subscribed to.
- Akismet — spam filtering on any comment or form submission.
- Shipping couriers — the name, address and phone number needed to deliver your parcel, and any details customs requires.
Some of these providers operate outside Singapore, so your data may be transferred abroad. Where that happens we rely on the provider’s contractual data-protection commitments.
4. Cookies
This site sets cookies that are necessary for it to work — keeping your cart and checkout session together, and remembering your currency choice. Our hosting and statistics tooling may also set cookies to count visits.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the necessary ones, the cart and checkout will not function.
5. How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are kept for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. Email subscriber records are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with them and any follow-up. Site statistics are kept in aggregated form.
6. Your rights
Under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and withdraw consent to its use.
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or another region with comparable law, you may also have the right to erasure, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to complain to your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, write to qipottery@gmail.com or WhatsApp +65 9661 6524. We will respond as promptly as we can. Note that we may need to keep certain transaction records even after a deletion request, where the law requires it.
7. Marketing email
We only send marketing email to people who have asked for it. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to remove you directly. Unsubscribing does not stop transactional messages about an order you have placed.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and payment pages are handled by our payment providers. We restrict access to order data to those who need it to run the studio. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the current version is always the one published here. For any question about your data, or to make a request, contact qipottery@gmail.com or WhatsApp +65 9661 6524.
